In this study, the GZO thin film had been treated with different thermal annealing temperatures, depend on rearrange the atomic depositing to improve the quality of thin film, which can effectively enhance the optoelectronic properties of GZO layer and promotes application of GZO on transparent conductive thin film in LED.

Zu-Po Yang Improvement of Color Saturation of Blue Light-emitting Electrochemical Cells by Employing Plasmonic Filters

Here we demonstrated a novel method to improve blue saturation of the sky-blue LECs by engineering its emission spectrum through the plasmonic filters. With the integration of plasmonic filters, the color saturation was improved and the bluest LECs with higher efficiency (among the reported bluest LECs) was obtained.

Jhih-Hao Lin Light extraction of organic light-emitting diode with internal nanostructure

We investigated the extraction efficiency of the organic light-emitting diode with internal structure sandwiched between glass substrate and indium-zinc-oxide anode. 19.7% enhancement was achieved in current efficiency.

Neng-Chieh Yu Spectral Study of Silicon Nanostructures at Visible Wavelength

The transmission spectra of low-loss silicon nanoslit array were studied at the visible wavelength. Transmission spectra were measured using an optical microscope and the simulation was based on finite-difference time-domain calculation. Spectral characteristics were discussed based on the slit periods. Both measurement and simulation results are in good agreement.

Bo-Yan Lai Fluorescence Lifetime Modification by Single Gold Nanoparticle Localized Surface Plasmon

Interactions between fluorephores and surface plasmon was investigated by a custom-built fluorescence lifetime system. Gold nanoparticle with double-stranded DNA on the surface was utilized to exactly control the distance between fluorephores and the nanoparticle. We calculated surface plasmon-induced changes in the radiative decay rate constant and the quenching rate constant.

Ho-Ting Tung Polarization gaps and anomalous dispersion in a hybrid metal-dielectric double gyroid

Gyroid structure has attracted attention owing to its applications in photonic crystals and meta-materials. In this study, we investigate the polarization-dependent characteristics of a hybrid metal/dielectric double gyroid based on finite-difference time domain method. Polarization band gaps and anomalous dispersion are presented based on various hybrid scenarios.

Ching-An LU Nanotransfer printing process of plasmonic dimer-mushroom with reduced nanogap for high FOM refractive index sensing

This study presents a simple process based on nanotransfer printing to fabricate the reduced nanogap dimer-mushroom structure. With this process, we can reveal the electric felid distribution of the structure to boost the sensing. We also calculated the spectrum of the structure to ensure the ability of sensing refractive index.

We report a fullerene (C60) organic photodetectors with low dark current, by changing the thickness of hole blocking layer. Because of high energy barrier, the dark current could approximately achieve to 0.18 nA cm-2 at -1 V. It means that TAPC could hinder the electrons injection from the ITO

Wei Lun Huang Optical characteristics of self-assembled Gold nanoparticle on GaAs

Self-assembled gold nanoparticles are formed on GaAs substrate by incorporating a heat-absorbing Al2O3 oxide layer. We change the Al2O3 layer thickness to investigate the surface enhance Raman scattering (SERS) effect. We obtain maximum SERS magnification and lowest reflectance at Al2O3 = 11nm. The results are useful in solar cell applications.

Jeng-Yi Chen The transmission spectrum of a twist nematic liquid crystal doped with phosphor micro particles

The spectrum changes induced from the doping of phosphor micro particles in a twist nematic liquid crystal cell was observed. The experimental results show that the achromatic transmission can be observed with a proper driving condition, which may be applied to the design of an achromatic liquid crystal device.

Kuo Chih-Fu High Electrochromic Properties of WO3 Modified ZnO Nanorods by Low-Temperature Hydrothermal Method

The ZnO nanorods (ZnR) were grown on the ZnO:Al (AZO) seed layer deposited ITO glass substrate by low temperature hydrothermal method. Electrochromic analyses show that the nanocomposite of WO3 modified ZnR with high surface-to-volume ratio exhibited faster switching time and higher coloration efficiency than WO3/AZO thin film.

Yi-Wei Hu Cu2SnSe3 (CTSe) thin film obtained by hybrid inks and selenization

Cu2SnSe3 (CTSe) thin film was prepared successfully by using hybrid inks and selenization. The hybrid inks included Cu2Se and SnSe2 synthesized in polyetheramine (D400) solven. After selenization, and confirmed by XRD, Raman, UV-Vis, and SEM, the thin film was proved with high quality and high potential in solar cell applicatrion.

Shota Igawa Fabrication of zinc magnesium oxide nanowires using VLS method

Nanostructured ZnO including nanowires, enables highly efficient emission. ZnMgO NWs were fabricated by vapor-liquid-solid (VLS) method. ZnMgO NWs has average diameter of 65±14 nm. The ultraviolet emission from ZnMgO NWs was blue-shifted to 375 nm from 383 nm with increasing Mg amount.

Ching Heng Chen Using CVD Method Growth ZnO nanowires Applied in Gas Sensor

In this study, we growth the ZnO nano-structure on copper wire with CVD method. The structure showed diode characteristics and environment sensitive owing to the light and gas sensitive of ZnO. Such device showed good response under various gas environment and the response in increase in further under light illumination.
