We demonstrated the transmission of 56-Gb/s PAM-4 or NRZ signals over 10km SMF by using a high-bandwidth TOSA with an electro-absorption modulated laser (EML) and a PIN-PD based ROSA. The transmission can meet the FEC-KP4 bit error rate specified in 400G Ethernet without any equalization.

Bi-directional short-range free-space optical (FSO) communication with bi-directional 2  4 x 10 Gb/s dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) channel signals is demonstrated in 25 m. The environmental factor effects including the oblique incidence and thermally induced non-uniform air index are studied.

Mingya Shen Gaussian Sampled Fiber Grating for ps-High-Resolution Signal Processing

We demonstrate in theory and experimentally that Gaussian sampled fiber grating can provide a large number of picosecond time delays with moderate linearity for high-resolution signal processing. The result for fabricated Gaussian sampled fiber gratings shows an average time delay step of 4.49ps with 10% linearity for 8 wavelength channels.

Trying to reduce the temperature parameter caused by continuous current supplier, we use temperature controller to make Distributed feedback (DFB) laser work in some special temperature. The performance of radio frequency in special temperature is much more stable than that without any treatment.

A bidirectional fiber-invisible laser light communication (IVLLC) and fiber-wireless convergence system with two orthogonally polarized optical sidebands for hybrid cable television (CATV)/millimeter-wave (MMW)/baseband (BB) signal transmission is proposed and experimentally demonstrated.

Pei-Xian Xu Multiple-User SC-FDMA System with Sub-Nyquist Receiver And PAPR Reduction

We experimentally demonstrate 46.63-Gbps SC-FDMA with 0.5-GSample/s sampling-rate receiver (1/32 Nyquist sampling rate) for each 32-user in commercial optical transmitter and receiver. A PAPR reduction with the proposed SC-FDMA system enables system to carry higher-order modulation format, achieving 12.5% capacity improvement. Finally, compared results with L-FDMA, I-FDMA, and OFDM.
