JIUN-HAW LEE 1,3,5-Tris(N-carbazolyl)benzene as the Host of Blue Phosphorescent Organic Light-emitting Diode

High efficiency blue phosphorescent organic light-emitting diode with 1,3,5-Tris(N-carbazolyl)benzene as the host in the emitting layer was demonstrated with maximum current efficiency 51.2 cd/A and external quantum efficiency of 22.5%.

I-Han Liu Study on Back-Channel Etched of In-W-Zn-O Thin Film Transistors Technology

We investigated TFT with the Back-channel bi-layer structure of active layers. High mobility a-IWZO (WO3:4%) as front channel, tungsten-rich (WO3:15%) a-IWZO as back channel. Back channel could resist etching solution damage to improve performance. The optimized device had 12.81(cm2/Vs) mobility, Vth of 0.06(V) and S.S. of 0.83(V/decade).

Hung-Cheng Tsai Engrave Glass Light Guide Plate with Microstructures Using Pico-Laser

We used a pico-laser of 532 nm to directly engrave a glass substrate with concave microstructures to evaluate the feasibility of practically fabricating a glass light guide plate for a edge-lit backlight; determined the process window, and confirmed the repeatability. The experimental results verified the concept is feasible.

Chen Chu Lung Color Pattern Recognition Based on HSV Color Space by Using Simulated Annealing on Liquid Crystal Device

The research used joint three channel system to conduct color image recognition. We converted color image to three components of HSV color space. Using simulated annealing method to compute approximate optimal quantized reference function and matching with Mach-Zehnder joint transform correlator, the system has good recognition effect.

Shih-Hsuan Chen Analysis of moiré effects in automatic inspection of periodic patterns: preliminary study in TFT-LCD

Moiré patterns become annoyingly visible as the spatially aliasing periods exceed the threshold value defined by the sensitivity of machine vision. Taking automatic optical inspection of a TFT-LCD as the case study, we formulate the mechanism of moiré pattern and optimize the parametric condition of a moiré-free measurement system.

Chien-Liang Chiu The Study of Hermetic Seal of Organic Light Emitting Diode with Glass Frit

931 days of lifetime OLED encapsulation. As the TPBi thickness is 20 nm, the OLED is obtained a maximum luminance of 21100 cd/m2, EQE of 6.8%, CE of 20.1 cd/A and PE of 15.1 lm/W, respectively. The shear strain and leakage testing is 12.995kg and 4.2×10-8 atm*cc/s.

Su-Hua Yang White OLED with Nanostructured Color Conversion Layers

White organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs) with different configurations of nanostructured color conversion layer (CCL) were prepared. A sharp blue emission and broad red emission was obtained. The electroluminescence (EL) intensity and efficiency were enhanced by more than 15%. The EL properties of the white OLED were investigated.

A series of Copper(II)phthalocyanine-based thin films were investigated by photoelectric spectrum to observe their energy level such as lowest unoccupied molecular orbit and highest occupied molecular orbit, applying for carrier injection layers of alternating current driven organic light emitting diode (AC-OLED).

Hisn-Jen Chen Transient Electroluminance for High Efficiency Organic Light Emitting Diode

Transient electroluminance (TREL) signals of high efficiency organic light emitting diode (OLEDs) were investigated using a universal host doped with blue, green and red emitters. The relatively longer TREL decayed signal represents the longer exciton lifetime, facilitating for high efficiency OLED.

Kai-Han Hsu Effects of the interdigital electrode structure on the electro-optical properties of cholesteric liquid crystal devices

To investigate the effects of interdigital electrode structures on electro-optical properties of cholesteric liquid crystal devices, three kinds of interdigital electrode structures are proposed. The effects of ChLC cells driven by the in-plane electric field on voltage-dependent helical structure, voltage-dependent transmittance, and voltage-dependent optical path difference are demonstrated and reported.

The ionic conductivities of the chemically synthesized ion conducting-poly (vinyl butyral) (CSIC-PVB) films vary in the order of 10–3 down to 10–6 S/cm, whereas the adhesion strengths of these ion conducting PVB interlayers change from 3 to 11 N/mm2.

Yu-Zhe Zheng Effect of Annealing Temperature on Performance and Reliability of Polycrystalline Silicon TFTs under Illumination

This paper systematically studies the electrical characteristics of low temperature polycrystalline silicon (LTPS) TFTs under illumination measurement with different annealing temperature. The threshold voltage (Vth) decrease with increasing annealing temperature. This phenomenon is dominated by increasing recombination center under higher annealing temperature.
