With the help of nano-templates and self-assembled monolayers, highly-ordered semiconducting polymer thin films were obtained and the oriented polymer chains produce delocalized electronic structures. The high-performance electronic structures were recognized by field-effect transistors, four-probe measurements, and terahertz spectroscopy, demonstrating the opportunity for novel optoelectronic and bio-image applications.

Spraying in the atmosphere would leak danger object into the environment. In order to solve it, the research turns to use the vacuum polymer spraying system. Vacuum polymer spraying shows better film quality to atmosphere spraying. The research discusses that the product would show good hardness, adhesion, and flowability.

Kuan-Wei Lu Research of Superhydrophilic Film Deposited by Plasma Polymerization

Organic siloxane was deposited on the substrate by plasma polymerization. By changing the process parameters and adjusting the containing ratio of nitrogen functional groups, the superhydrophilic properties could be obtained. The optical emission spectrometer was adopted to monitor the plasma dynamically.

Yu-Xiang Chen Fabrication of a Solution-Processed Indium Zinc Oxide Thin Film Transistor With Point-Contact Source/Drain

A solution-processed indium zinc oxide thin film transistor (IZO TFT) with point-contact source/drain was demonstrated. After annealing at 600 °C, the IZO TFT exhibits superior performance. The on/off current ratio is 107 and the subthreshold swing is 890 mV/dec.

Xuan Lee Light Driven Smart Soft Material

In this study, a smart material that driven by light is demonstrated experimentally. We doped some liquid crystal monomer in soft polymer to make them being controllable by light illumination. By using this method, the polymer we made behave like bending, stretching, etc.

Yu-Chi Wang Low Threshold Room-temperature Lasing of Organometallic Bromide Perovskites Assisted by Plasmonic Nanoparticles

We report the room-temperature lasing performance in solution-processed CH3NH3PbBr3 perovskite films utilizing Au nanoparticle (NP) clusters as Au NP-perovskite function scattering centers. The excitation-power-dependent spectra shows that the lasing wavelength of 547 nm with linewidth 2.5 nm, and excitation power near the threshold of lasing action is 800 μW.
